MOMIII.Y C.HMV KI'I'OKI. — Since the date of our last report .1 large business has been carried through in all descriptions of Grain, with the exception of liarley, and a very excited market has brought the price of Wheat and Flour up th a figure which, if maintained, will prevent all further shipments to the United Kingdom for the season. The principal cause of the rise may be attributed to the strong demand for both Wheat and l'loiir for the adjacent colonies of New South Wales and Queenslane, which have in previous seasons dra.vn their supplies from South Australia, where the jicld this year is considerably less th;.n we expected, while the quantity exported up to date has been large. IF/«wA—Tho quantity coming from the country has fallen off considerably dining the month, and, notwithstanding the reduce d demand on the part of shippers, the requirements of our local millers have been so great as to laisc the price steadily till it now rnlcs at (is to Cs 3d for all first-class milling qualities, and we do not anticipate any reduction on these figures at present. Flour has been in strong demand, both for local supply and lor export, and may now be quoted up to £lS 10s per ton for best townmilled, with country samples, £13 to £ld 2s Od. Oais, owing to the long-continued drought and large consumption, have also advanced considerably. There has been a good deal of speculation in this grain, and we think present prices can hardly be maintained in view of the large supplies held in town. We now quote 3s 7d to '3s lOd for thin to good feeding samples, and up to 4s for prime milling and seed parcels. /tor/ov—This has been the only cereal in i which there has been no speculative movement throughout the month, and, owing to malsters being fully stocked, the demand for all malting supplies has been dull, with a slight decline on previous quotations. "We now quote prime malting 4s id to 4s Od, and feed from 3s Od to ■4s. ;
