This Association is promoted to supply a want in Waikato— to stimulate cooperation and combination amongst the \Vaikato fanning community, upon the principle that unity gives stiength and co-operation, affords a , guarantee for mutual benefit, the best value for pro-" duce, and most economical method bi working crops, or other farming operations. The experiments made during past seasons have proved sufficiently satisfactory to warrant the opinion that Waikato lands will glow a superior quality of Wheat, Oats, Barley, or other Grain, and yield a very satisfactory average. The Waikato holdinga being freehold, are owner! for the most pait by settlers who have not the' requisite plant for undertaking the growing of Grain crops, and by many who have not the necessary capital themselves, but who would be willing to put portions of their farms under grain crops if they had the cooperation of this Association. The Waikato at present does not grow nearly ' sufficient grain to, supply its local requirements, and fiom the fact that its population is constantly increasing and with the rich prospects and magnitude of the Te Aroha Goldfield in view, a large demand for the products of amillniay be confidently expected, the purcha.se or erection of a flour mill or mills and granaries will therefore be one of the main objects of the Association. The benefits to small settlers taking shares will be very great, as they will secure a certain market for their farm products, participating in the profits of the Association, besides being able to work their fauns at the lowest possible outlay and risk to themselves. < Another object of the Association will be the erection of a suitable slaughteryard in the Waikato district for the purpose of supplying the Auckland market with meat, or otherwise disposing of same. The Association also propose the establishment of cheese, butter and bacon factories in central positions. Nevei theless, the Directors of the Association will exercise their discretion in selecting one or other of the various objects set forward in the Prospectus, to start opei atious upon in case they deem it impiudent to commence all at the same time, and the woiks uu^ei taken will be progressive, and not of an unwarrantable magnitude at the onset. Applications for shares to be made to the Secretary, W. A. Graham, Tamahere Estate, Hamilton, and to Frater, Bros., Auckland, or T. Y. Fifapatrick, Ngaruawah i a, Share Liat will close on Thursday, May 4th.

1 1 is proposed to erect, at Ngar uawahia, a Fellmongery (site vet to be chosen by tlie Directors), suitable to treat all the skins procurable in the Waikato and other districts. The position of Ngnruawahia is most suitable for a business of this kind, having such communication by rail, river and roads, the water of the Waipa river also being considered of the best quality for the purpose. It is proposed, when the Fellmongery has been made a success, to further extend the Company's operations by erecting a Soap and Candle Factory,' as the .business of Fellmongery and Soap and Candle works are twin sisters. ' ' IU is also intended to extend the' busi- ' ness still further by adding' a "tannery, after the former has been properly established, and to folio w with a wool-scouring business. i ! ' This is considered to be the beginning > of a number of industries in Ngarnawahia, which necessarily must followy and which . ■Will gi'eatly assisfethe farming industry, and cause -all the land in, the neighbour- ' hood fobe put under cultivation and made remunerative. j^t that 2,000 shares will b'ej-'taken jjp by, lojgal settler's. .Shares' EdgecuSbk, fiamiltoni , & /L.
