This A&sociation is piomotcd to supply d want in Waikato — to stimulate coopoi ation anil combination amongst the Waikato fanning community, upon the piinciplc that unity gives stiongth and co-operation affords a guaiantue for mutual benefit, tho best value for produce, and most economical method of woiking ciops, oi other farming opeiations. The cAperimonts made dining past .seasons have pro\ ed suUiciently satisfactory to warrant the opinion that Waikato lands will grow a superior ' quality' of Wheat, Oats, Bat ley, or other Grain, and yield a very satisfactory average. The Waikato holdings being freehold, are owned for the mo&t pait by settlers who ha\e not the requi&ite plant for undertaking the gt owing of Chain crops, and by many who have nob the necessary capital themselves, but who would he willing to put portions of their farms under grain crops if they had the' cooperation of this As ociation. The Waikato at pre&cnt does not grow nearly sufficient grain to supply its local requirements, and from the fact that its population is constantly increasing and with the lioh piospccts and magnitude of tho Te Aioha Goldfield in view, a large demand foi the products of amillmaybe conlidcntly expected, the purchase or eiection ot a Hour mill or mills and granaries will theiefoie be one of the main objects of the Association. The benefits to small settlers taking shares will be very gicat, as they will secuio a certain maiket for theii farm products, participating in the piolits of the Association, besides being able to wot k their farms at the lowest pos&ible outlay and risk to themselves. Another object of the Association will be the erection of a suitable slaughteryard in the Waikato distiict for the purpose of supplying the Auckland maiket with meat, or otherwise disposing of same. Tlie A&sociation also propose the establishment of cheese,' butter and bacon factories in central positions. Nevertheless, the Directors of the Association will exercise their discretion in selecting one or other of the various objects set forward in the Prospectus, to start operations upon in case they deem it imprudent to commence all at the same time, and the works \m? ex taken will be progiesshc, and not of an unwarrantable magnitude at the onset. Applications for shares to be made to the (Secretary, W. A. rjiannm, Tamahere Estate, Hamilton, and to Fiater, Bios., Auckland, or T. Y. Fitapatiiok, Ngaruawahia.
