AUCKLAND LIVE STOCK MARKETS. Mr Ai.kkkd Bucku.vd's Wbukly Riii'Oin.— At the Haymarket on Saturday List fodder was in good supply and brought from 2s 6d to 3s (id per cwt. Small loads 1 to 22b, iiml straw 12b to lii per load. Horses were yatded in large numbers, and a good business was done in stock of all classes, very few lots remaining unsold. A heavy draught, £35 15s ; medium draughts. £I*, 10s to ; harness horses,. £10 to £16 15s, and a number of light hacks from £5 to £12. Iho racehorse Angler did not change hands At the Haymarkct on Tuesday, hides ranged from 3<id to 3iid the Ib.: sheep pelts, 6d ; skins, 2s to 5s 7d each ; wool, in grease, jd to 7*t\ ; )u< U-*, 5 '.d the lb. At the sale of stock and <;undiic« at Mi W. Hair's residence, Remuera, on Wednesday thore w.is a full attendance, and all sold satisfactory. The farm remains unsold At Rcmucr.i, on Thursday, dairy stock were not so fiec ol sale as of late, but well bied cows neir calving brought L8 to Lto each. Store cattle were in moderate number* only, and at late values. Fat cattle in full numbers ; 167 head sold. Late values were fully sustained, and .ill well fatted cattle ranged from 22s to 25s the loolbs. Fat sheep were in short supply, and advanced 2s pei head good wethers brought from 16s to 18s oai li, and full-mouthed ewes 13s each. Lambs were also scarce, but of prime quality. They brought from us to 16s each, and a moderate supply oi pigs sold at late values.

Thore were a great many entries at the Durham Yards on Saturday, and a shipment ot Wanganm noises attracted a good dc ll of attention. Competition was steady throughout the sale, and nearly all in were disposed of .it prices quite up to the previous week, notwithstanding th.it many buyers were holding back tor a shipment, c* HauraKi, to be sold this week. Cattle. The market has been moderately active, ihe supply has been adequate. Dairy and store stock have fully maintained their values, but there was a slight decline in butcher's stock, unless those in very prime condition. The Newmarket sale was postponed to Wednesday, on account of the holidays. The yards were well filled, and there was a steady demand, which was also the case at Pukekohe on Wednesday. Dairy cattle remained at the previous week's values. For well bred store steers, in fresh condition, a highei value was obtained. For f.il beasts, es< ept those in top condition, there was .1 decline of from is to 2s per loolbs. Sheep, Iho butchers pens at Newmarket were well filled, but there was a limited uuinbet of stoics, although a number could have been placed to advantage.
