MR GLADSTONE ON IRISH AFFAIRS. [REUTERS TELEGRAMS.] London, April 4.

In the House of Commons last night, Mr Gladstone made a lengthy and vigorous speech 1 upon the position' of affairs in Ireland. In the course ef his remarks, he stated that the present situation could not be matched in -the history of Ireland for .the last fifty years, 'and that in fact a state of social revolutions existed in the country at, the present time. The Premier further 1 stated that the crimes which had been .committed were distinctly traceable to the influence of the X*nd lieague, and charged Mr Healy, .member for Wexford, with adding to the disorder by his inflammatory language. Th^Gfovernment, Mr Gladstone added, fully appreciated the change of situation, but they would choose their own time for making fresh proposals to the House.
