Two Native Lands Courts were opened at Rotorua, one under the presidency of Chief Judge Fenton, and the other under the latest addition to the judicial staff, Judge Mair. The former will take the cases hi connection with lands in and about the township, while Judge Mair will investigate the titles to larger blocks, Roughly speaking, 500,000 acres have beeu gazetted, and it is estimated that fully one-half of that area will be put through the court now in session.
