[BY CABLE.] LONDON MARKETS.

AUCKLAND LIVE STOCK MARKETS. Mr Alfred Auckland's Weekly Kcport. r At tbo Haymarkct, last Saturday, fodder was in futt suppto, and brought from zs. jd to 5s 3d per cwt., small loads >8s to 30s, and straw 13s to ys per load. Eleven tons of Victorian bonedust, L 6 10s per ton. The yard was well filled with horses, and a brisk business transacted in sound young ones, but inferior animals, as usual, had an uncertain sale. The heavy draught filly advertised brought L4O. Several draught colts, Li<; 5s to L 24; active medium draught colts (broken), L2O to L3O; light harness horses, LlO to L 25, and a number of hacks and ponies, from 1-5 to Ll6 each. Twenty bull calves, bred by Messrs Reid Brothers, Motutapu, attracted a good attendance of buyers, and the lot were cleared at from L 3 "?s to Lo 10s each. At the Haymarket hide and skin sale, on Tuesday, hides brought from a|d to 3jd the lb. ; sheepskins, is 3d to 2s id each; small parcels of wool, 6\A to ;[d the lb At Remuera, on Thursday, daiiy cattle were numerous, and in brisk inquiry, at advanced prices. These ranged from L"> tos to Ll2 17s 6d Store cattle were also in full numbers and good inquiry, late values being fully sustained. 40 well-bred two year-old steers averaged L3I7S 6d. Fat cattle were in full numbers. 143 head yarded, all of good quality. Prices advanced about los per head, and were steady between 22s and 24s the loolbs. The averages obtained were : q steers, W. Reynolds, L8 14s; 8 head, W. Tucker, L8 13s ; 8 steers, J. Horrell, L8 10s; 18 steers, t. May, L8 ss; 25 steers, H. and J. Goodfellow, L8 4s ; 8 steers, Thomas Wilkinson, L 7 T2s od; 12 steers, Tames Robertson, L 7 12s 6d. No store sheep yarded. Fat sheep in usual number and late values. 200 wethers from Wanganui averaged 16s; fat lambs in good inquiry, at from us to 14s each, but the greater number penned were scarcely killable. Pigs, in moderate supply at late values. Messrs. Hunti.r and Nolav's Weekly Report.—Horses : There has been a moderate supply and steady demand. At the Durham Yards, on Friday last, a limited number were entered. Buyers were in attendance, and there wai no noteworthy alteration in value. Cattle • There has been increased activity jn the demand for fat cattle, while other descriptions have been comparatively neglected. At Newmarket, on Tuesday, the yards were well filled. Although some very good dairy stock were brought forwaid, the demand was slack, and a similar expression was applicable to stores. Fat beasts werr in adequate supply. Competition was brisk throughout the sale. An ad\ ancc of from 2s to 3s per ioolbs. on last quotations were given. Sheep : There was a good muster at Newmarket, on luesday, but very few really good wethers were penned, 16s being the top price, while inferior were disposed of tor 10s. Store wethers sold at from 10s to 11s, inferior ewes, 7s gd Lambs were rather scarce, and sold at from 10s to 13s 3d. Pigs . Scarce.
