TE AROHA GOLD MINING DISTRICT. Warden's Office, Te Aroha, 17th March, 1882. THE Application for a License for Gold Mining purposes, specified in the Schedule hereunder, may be granted on MONDAY, the third day of April, 1882, unless valid objection thereto be in the meantime made in writing, and lodged at this office not less than seven clear days before that date. TE AROHA GOLD MINING DISTRICT. NOTICE UNDER SECTIONS 48 AND 84 OF THE GOLD MINING DISTRICTS ACT, 1873. APPLICATION TO FORM A WATER RACE. Warden's Office, Te Aroha, 17th March, 1882. A PPLICATION has been made to me xjL by John Cook for permission to construct a water race for mining purposes, commencing at a point about forty chains above the head of Bone Werahiko's race, on the Waiorongomai Creek, and terminating at head of Hone's race, as shown on plan. The length of such race is forty chains, or thereabouts, and its intended course is southerly. The mean breadth and depth of the race is two feet by one foot ; it is capable of carrying two sluice heads of water, and the number of sluice heads of forty inches each which it is proposed to appropriate is two. Notice is therefore given that on the 31st day of March, 1882, a license will be granted to the above-named John Cook for the said Water Race, unless valid objection thereto be in the meantime made in writing, and lodged at this office not less than seven clear days before that date. A PPLICATION has been made to me XX by Charles McLean for permission to construct a Water Race for mining purposes, commencing at a point on the right hand branch of the Waiorongomai Creek indicated by a peg marked B, and terminating at bottom of S. Mackays Water Race, as shown on plan. The length of such race is about one mile, or thereabouts, and its intended course is north-east and south-west. The mean breadth and depth of such race is two feet by one foot : it is capable of carrying four sluice heads of water, and the number of sluice heads of forty inches each which it is proposed to appropriate is four. NOTICE is therefore given that on the 31st day of March, 1882, a License will be granted to the above-named Charles McLean for the said Water Race, unless valid objection thereto be in the meantime made in writing, and lodged at this office not less than seven clear days before that date. The length of such race is one hundred and twenty chains or thereabouts, and its intended course is southerly. The mean breadth and depth of such race is three feet by one foot six inches, it is capable of carrying eight sluiceheads of water, and the number of sluceheady of forty inches each, which it is proposed to appropriate, is eight. Notice is therefore given that on the 31st day March, 1882, a License will be granted to the above-named Josiah Clifton Firth for the said Water Race, unless valid objection thereto be in the meantime made in writing "and lodged at this Office, not less than seven clear days before that date.
