Mr Alfkkd Bucklano's "Weekly Kcport.At the Haymarkct oo Friday, March 10, fodder was in fair supply, and brought from 2S to 4s Gd per cwt. ; small loads, its to 37s : and straw, 26s to 27s per load. There were a largo number of horses yarded, including a draft from Wanganui ; these consisted principally of active medium draughts, and of a fail class. Competition was good throughout the sale, and noarly all wore cleared at prices which satisfied the \etulors. Heavy draught colts brought from L 33 to L] 1 ; medium draught colts, Ll2 10s to L 18; active medium draughts (broken), Ll6 15s to 1,251 ss; light harness horses, Ll2 to L 25 ; and a number of hacks and ponies, Ls to Ll6 15s. At the Haymarket, on Tuesday, hides were pitched in larger number than average. The greater part brought from id to 3§d, but a choice lot realised 4jd the lb. Sheepskins were also in full numbers, prices ranged from 6d to 2s id each; wool, 6}d to 7sd the lb. At Drury, on Wednesday, there was a good muster of stock of all descriptions, cattle, sheep, and horses. There wis iteady bidding throughout the sale, at fully late values, and all brought forward sold. At Remuera, on Thursday, store cattle were in fair enquiry. Those of Messis Recce's were rot offered, the severe weather having prevented their shipment. Dairy cows were in better enquiry, prices for good animals ranged from L 7 to Lio. Fat cattle were at first dull of sale, but rallied as the sale prococded, and last week's values were fully sustained. Fat sheep wci cm moderate supply only, but lower about 6d per head, but store sheep were in good demand at late values. Fat lambs of good quality wore in moderate numbers, and brought from 10s to 11s each; store lambs. from 4s gd to 6s. Full market of medium sized fat pigs brought from 23s to 35s each.

Only a moderate number were brought forward at Durham Yards on Friday, but there was steady competition, and almost without exception those offered were disposed of at an advance on tho previous week's prices. Cattle: A good many have been brought forward. The demand has been good, and above an average number ' have been disposed of. At tho Newmarket Yards, on Tuesday, there was a full supply of fat stock, a moderate one of dairy cows, and stores were but sparsely represented. Prices for both dairy and fat stock had an upward tcncicnc.) —2 is, per loolbs. was reached for :i tew choice animals, but during the market prices wore unfrcquuntly over 20s per loolbs. Sheep : The New marki't Yards were well-filled on Tuesday, both with fat and store sheep. We quote—Stores, ewes, 8s 6d to 10s 3d ; wethers, 7s fid to 12s gd ; fat wethers, from 12s 6d to 16s 6d; lambs scarce, and sold at from 5s to 13s. Pigs: Very few jarded, and description inferior; prices nominal.
