London, March 6.— Consols remain at 100J The market rate of discount has declined to 4J per cent., and Bank rate is 5. New Zealand securities are unchanged, at the following quotations : — The s percent. 10-40 loan is 105 ; the 5 per cent. 1879-1904 loan is 100. Adelaide whe.it, ex store, remains at 545, and New Zealand ditto is 40s. Adelaide flour, ex warehouse, has further declined is 4d s.nd is now quoted at 38s. Australian taliow : Host beef is 40s, and best mutton is 455! Australian leather : Best sides are quotea at nd.
LONDON WOOL MARKET. London, March o.— At the wool sales to-d.iy 10,000 bales were offered, making a total of 56,000 catalogued since the opening of the present series. The bidding to-day was animated.
