Contemplated Change of Residence for the Pope. London, March 4.

The present situation of the Pope at Home continues to be subject of general discussion and negotiations are still on foot among the chief European, powers with the object of providing His Holiness with another place of residence, should his position in Rome compel him to abandon that city. It has been suggested that Quebec would be suitable for the purpose, and the proposal is being seriously entertained.
