THE ROTORUA ROAD.

The second detachment of the A.C. Force, being No. 7 Company, 100 men, arrived in Waikato on Sunday, under the command of Capt. Gascoigne. They left Opunake on Saturday morning in the Stella, and arrived at Ngaruawahia by special train on Sunday afternoon, transhipping into the steamer Rangiriri, which took them to Cambridge. The men appeared to be fagged out, having had four days marching before embarkation, and it is probable they will enjoy a few days rest before leaving for the scene of future operations, the Rotorua-roa d. Capt. Gascoigne is the only officer sent up, and he will probably have for coadjutors the officers at present stationed in he Waikato.
