The Waikato Times Office, Wednesday. SYDNEY MARKETS. Mossrs. Mort and Co. report under date, Sydney, Feb. n :—Wool:: — Wool : We sold cloic on 2000 bales this week. There was a brisk demand «it our auction sale on Wcdnctday for all descriptions, and the principal parcels were cleared at the following values, vi^. : — Scoured idd to 2oid; greasy 7jd to ipjd; washed fleece i4jd to iBd per lb. Sheepskins were also in active demand, and a large catalogue were cleared at up to 7^d per lb Tallow: We quote : — Beef at from £30 10s to £31 ; mutton £31 to £12 ; and mixed £z-\ to £29 per ton. Hides : Heavies are in active request at the sales to-day ; they realized from 4Jd to 43d per lb. ; medium arc worth from •j?d to .|d , and light and dry 4£d to sid per lb. Grain — At our sale this week there was a large attendance of millers, and we disposed of best lines of Wheat at from <;d to 5b 6d per bushel. Bran sold at if)d, and Pollard i.sjd per bushel. Flour : Prices have advanced and the market is now firm at £12 5s to £13 per ton for N. S. Wales brands , £iz to £1-5 for South Australian ; and ;£ii jos to £12 for Victorian.
