Sydnky, February 16. At Morpetb, on the Hunter River, at 3 o'clock this morning, a man named Charles Grimley shot at and killed a woman named Ann Pettitt, and subsequently committed suicide. The cause is attributed to jealously.

Melbourne, February 16. There are 30 acceptances for the Australian Cup, and 48 for the Newmarket Handicap, to be run for at the approaching meeting of the Victorian Club.
