Mr Alfred Buckland's Weekly Report. — At the Haymarket, on Feb. 3, fodder was plentiful and brought from 2s 3d to 4s 3d per cwt., small loads, 16s to 31s ; straw, 14s to 24s per load. There was a large number of horses yarded, and for all lots of a useful stamp the competition was good. Medium draught unbroken stock from £21 to £23; heavy draught, £35 ; medium draught, £15 to £24 ; harness horses and hacks, i £5 to £'5- fhe majority of those entered were disposed of. At the Haymarket, on Tuesday, best hides brought 3j3 j to 3 J the lb. ; pelts, sid; sheepskins, iod to 4s tid ; lambskins, 2s 4d each ; tallow, 21s 9d to 25s 3d the cwt,, showing a conI siderable 1 lse in prices; lambswool, j\; long- ! wool, in grease, 7d to 7? ; merino wool, 8^ the lb. At Waiuku, on Saturday, a moderate supply of cattle met with a fair enquiry, the attendance at the sale being lessened by the meeting of the Road Board. At Pukekohe, on Monday, an unusually full maiket of stock met with a good demand, there being a steady enquiry throughout the sale. At Remuera, on '1 hursday, dairy stock were numerous, and in steady demand at slightly improved values, Store cattle were also in full numbers, and with a. better inquiry than last week. Fat cattle were in moderate supply ; best quality maintained last week's values, but inferior animals were lower in price, which ranged from 17s to 22s the ioc)lbs. Store pigs of good quality were plentiful, and in brisk demand. Sheep were in full numbers. At opening ol the sale last week's values were given, but prices fell as the sale proceeded fully 2b per head., prices ranged from barely 2Jd to 2^d the lb. Lambs were numerous, and at lower values.

There was an upward tendency in the value of good hacks, other description unaltered At the Durham \\irds, on Friday, an increased number, as compared with the previous week, were entered for disposal by auction. Competition was good throughout the sale, and hoises of a good stamp found ready purchasers at full rates. Good hacks were wanted, and there still remains an unsatisfied enquiry. Cattle . There has been a full supply of all descriptions. Iherc was a noticable advance in the price of stores, but dairy and fat stock have not moved up. At Newmaiket, on Tuesday, rather less than the usual number of fat beasts were yaidcd, but bidding lacked spnit and there was no upward tendency in the market, lhere was a very large muster at Pukekohe on Wednesday, but there was a good attendance of purchasers, and the prices given the previous week at Papakura were fully realised. lhere has been considerable activity in the market. lhe Newmarket yards were well filled. The demand was steady ttiioughout, both for fat and store sheep, but lambs weie in excess of reiiunementb and sold at fiom 6i to jos gd.
