S. PETER'S CHURCH, HAMILTON. Annual Meeting of Parishioners.

The annual meeting of the parishioners of S. Peter's Anglican Church was held in the church on Thursday evening. There was a moderate attendance, and the chair was occupied by the Yen. Archdeacon Lush. — After the usual preliminary business, the Treasurer, Mr James Hume, read the following :—: — Statement of Receipts and Expenditure FOR THE YEAR ENDING 31.ST December, ISSI. Receipts. — Pew rents, L5B 12s 6d ; subscriptions, L5B 14s ; Offertories : general. Ll7O 15s od ; special, L 3 18s 2d ; Contribution by Archdeacon Lush towards parsonage repairs, Ll3 7s. Total, L 305, 7s Id ; balance, L 59 13s 2d. L3GS Os 3d. Disbursements. — Incumbent's stipend, L 200; Verger's salary, LIS ; interest on loans, L 23 16s ; special offertories, L 3 18s 2d ; repairs and additions to church premises, L3O 12s ; i'epairs to parsonage, L 33 6s 7d ; insurance on church and parsonage, LlO 18s ; sundries. L 23 19s lOd. Total, L 344 10s 7d ; balance 31st December, 1880, L2O 7s Bd. L 365 0s 3d. Dec. 31, 1881, balance, L 59 13s 2d. On the motion of Mr T. G. Sandes, seconded by Mr N. I. Hunt, the balance sheet as read was adopted. — The meeting then proceeded to the election of office-bearers for the ensuing year— The Archdeacon nominated Mr R. F. Sandes as his warden, and on the the motion of Mr Hume, seconded by Mr Gaudin, Mr Le Quesne was elected people's warden — The following gentlemen were duly nominated as vestrymen, and as only the requisite number were proposed, were declared to have been elected : — Messrs G. Edgecumbe, A. Swarbrick, H. Chitty, F. Gaudin, T. G. Sandes, H. Logic, and James Hume— Messrs B. C. Mounier, and K. Hill were appointed auditors — Votes of thanks were passed to the retiring wardens, the vestry, organist, choir, lay readers, and the, chair after which the meeting terminated.
