Melbourne, January 14. No fresh intelligence has been received to-day from the quarantine station. The New Zealand passengers per Garonne, who are quarantined, have applied for leave to proceed by the steamer leaving for the Bluff on the 16th inst. The Government has, however, refused them permission. All the Garonne's small-pox patients with one exception, are progressing very favourably towards recovery. Adelaide, January 14. Among the passengers per Garonne, quai'antined here, is one steerage passenger on whom has developed symptoms of amall-pox. He has been isolated. The necessary precautionary measures are beiug taken in the view of the outbreak of small-pox among the Garonne's passengers at the quarantine station.
