An increased number h.i\c been brought forward, and prices, pp.rticul.irl> for fat stock, have had an upward fendctuy. ihe Newmaiket yards were well fillnd on 1 uesday, as were also the I'ukckohe yards on Wednesday. 'Iheie was little alteration in the \alue of stores or dairy stock, but fat stock sold readily at 25s per ioolbs, and for a few prime •inimalb «i shade more was given at Newmarket. Sheep: 'Ihcre was an unusually large number \ardcd at Newmarket, piincipally stores, and there was spirited competition. Store ewes, in low condition, sold at from 6s gd to 10s 6d ; wethers, 7s to gs 3d ; store lambs, 5s Gd to 7s 6d ; fat wethers, from us 6d to 15s id. A great number off.it lambs were yarded, notwithstanding which thoy were keenly competed for, and sold at from 8s to 18s gd. Pigs : Very short supply.
