The return match was played at Cambridge on Saturday, and resulted in favor of the home team on the first innings. Eautapu went first to the wickets, and put together 41 runs, 0. E. Pearson alone scoring double figures, whilst F. Ewen played a iiseful innings. For Cambridge H. E. Cotton displayed some fine cricket, whilst Longbottom hit freely. The fielding of the Hautapu men was weak, and several catches were missed. In the second innings Hautapu seemed to gain the confidence which they needed so much in the first, and put together 60 runs for the loss of only one wicket. HAUTAPU. First innings. Second innings.
