Another -large liberal gathering took place last evening at Birmingham. Mr John Bright and Mr Chamberlain were again present, and addressed the meeting. In the course of their speeches they alluded to the intentions of the GoveiTiment during the approaching sesion of Parliament, and announced that after the question of the reform of the procedure of the Hou~e of Commons had beeh settled, Bills for the reform of the English land laws, for the assimilation of the county to the borough franchise, and for other objects, would be introduced by the Government. The relations between Turkey and Austria and Germany have lately assumed a most friendly tone, and the growing entente cordiale between the three empires is daily becoming move marked. Washington, January 6. A circular has been issued by the United States Government to the Kepublic of Central America and South America, inviting them to send delegates to a convention to be held in this city in November next, for the purpose of conferring on the subject of their common interests, and for the adoption of guarantees against foreign meddling in ther affairs. Vienna, January 6. Intelligence is to hand from Southern Dalmatia that the agitation among the inhabitants of the district is daily increasing, and fears of a general rising are entertained. The Austrian Government has accordingly dispatched a force of 7000 troops to the scene of the threatened disturbance.
