Mr Ar.rKED Auckland's Weekly Report. — At the Ha>market on Friday, Dec. 23, fodder was in short supply, and brought irom is 3d to 3s 6d per cwt., small loads 10s to 245, and straw iss to 27s per load The yards were again filled with horses, and although the bidding was languid a large number were disposed 01. Medium draughts brought from Ll4 10s to L2O; light harness horses, Lio to L 1 8; light hacks, L 5 to Ln; and several well-bied weight-earners, LlB to L 24. The "Wairarapa shipment was all cleared, unbroken colts averaging L2O c.ich. _ At the Haymarket sale of wools, hides, and skins, held on Wednesday, there was a steady improvement in price of unwashed wools of fully a halfpenny pei Ib. "Washed wools were at late values. Hides wore in model ate supply, and late \alues from 3|d to 4^d the lb ; sheepskins, 4s 8d each. At the Papakura sale, on Wedm sday, not many rattle were yarded ; those were fairly competed for at Lite values. At Remuera, on Thursday, everything yarded found ready bujers at a perceptible improvement over late markets. _ Dairy cows were in full numbers, and in good inquiry at an advance of from 10s to 30s each. Store cattle in usual supply and free inquiry at late values. Fat cattle in less number than average, but in steady demand at an advance of is the loolbs. Store sheep numerous and in demand ; wethers, from 10s to 12s ; ewes, 9s to 12s. Fat sheep in full numbers, and were steady in price at 2jd the lb. for good quality. Lambs plentiful and in brisk inquiry at js each higher than at any other market for this season ; they ranged from us 6d to 18s aach. — Hoises: At the annual horse fair, on Friday; a very large number were brought forward, and with those entered for disposal too late for cataloguing, the yards were completely crammed. Throughout the sale the attendance was very good, and the majority of those offered were quitted at satisfactory prices. We quote : — Hacks, L6 15s to L 22 15s ; light harness, Ln 12s 6d to L 23; medium, Ll7 10s to L 2 4; heavy draught, L3B. Cattle : In consequence oi the holiday, the supply has been nregulai. On Tuesday, at Newmarket, under the a\ci age number were yarded, competition wa^ good, and we note a slight advance on the previous week, especially for small, well-fatted c it Jc Sheep • The supply was scarcely up to Teqinrement, and in consequence pi ices were somewhat bcttei than last week.
