WAI&ATO COUNTY. Registration of Dogs. AT a meeting of the Waikato County Council, held on 28th inst., the following persons were appointed to be Sub-Registrars of dogs for the districts set opposite their names :—: — Mr J. P. Thomson, for Cambridge Town District. Mr Hugh Fitzgerald, Cambridge and Tamahere Highway Districts. Mr William Birss, Rangiriri Out-district Dogs may be registered for the year 1882, with any of the above-named Registrars, or the undersigned, on or after 14th January, 1882. JAS. PUBLIC NOTICE. PERSON'S holding licenses to slaughter cattle within the Waikato County are hereby notified that their licenses expire this day. Fresh licences for 1882 may be obtained on application to the undersigned, and on payment of the fee of 2a 6d. JAS. McPHERSON, Inspector of Slaughterhouses, Waikato County. Rangiriri Outlying District. A MEETING of Ratepayers in the above district will be held at the Hotel, Rangiriri, on Saturday, January 14th, 1882, at 2 o'clock. Business : To take into consideration the desirability of forming the above District into a Highway District. ROBERT RALPH, Waikato County Councillor.
WAIPA COUNTY COUNCIL. A SPECIAL MEETING of the above council will be held at the Charabeis, Ohaupo, on Tuesday, 10th January, 1882, at 10 a.m. to consider the proposed closing of roads in the Hamilton Highway District. N. T. MAUNDER, Clerk Waipa County Council.

T)UBLJC NOTIFICATION. AT a MEETING of Ratepayers of the Tamahere Highway District, held on 14th inst. , it was resolved to stop the roads undermentioned, and at a meeting of the Waikato County Council held on 28th inst., that resolution having been approved and confirmed, I, James Runciman, Chairman of the Tamahere Highway District Board, in accordance with provision contained in Sub-section H, of section 4, Public Works Act, 1880, do now declare the roads hereinunder described, to have been lawfully stopped, and that they shall henceforth cease to be public highways. Boads Stopped. 1 . A portion of a road containing 1 acre, 1 perch ; bounded northwesterly by Lot 44, Parish of Tamahere, the property of J. A. Tinne, Esq. 2. Portions of the road containing in all 3 acres, 1 rood 18 perches ; bounded on the west by Lots 67 and 6S ; and on the east by Lot 68, Parish of Tamahere, the property of E. J. Tinne, Esq. 3. A road containing 7 acres, 3 roods 37 perches ; running through Lots 20, 21, 22, 23, Parish of Tamahere, the property of S. Ormerod, Esq. 4. A road containing in all 10 acres, 1 rood, 5 perches ; running through Lots 22, 23, 25, 28 ,che property of Messrs. S Or A'od, H. Allwright, and a Gov ament reserve. PRELIMINARY NOTICE. rfiRINITY WESLEYAN CHURCH, 1 HAMILTON, will be OPENED on TUESDAY EVENING, January 10th, 1882. The Rev. T. Sfurgeon (of Auckland), will conduct the service, -commencing at 7 o'clock. A Collection will be taken in aid of the Church Building Fund. On the following evening (Wednesday) a SOIREE will be held in the Volunteer Hall. Tickets, Two Shillings each. Further particulars in future advertisements.
