Nominations for Handicaps to be sent to the Secretary Waikato Turf Club, Hamilton, on or before Friday, January 27, 1882, at 8 p.m. Entries for Maiden Plate, President's Stakes, Maiden Steeplechase, and Flying Stakes close on Friday, February 10, at 8 p.m. Weights will be published on Friday, February 3. Acceptances and general entries will be received up to Friday, February 10, at 8 p.m. Entrance money enclosed, with the name, age, and pedigree of horse, and colours of rider. No entry will be received for any of the races except upon this condition : That all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards present, or those whom they may appoint. Their decision I upon all points connected with carrying out of this programme shall be final. All races to be run under the V.R'C. Rules. Any Jockey riding 1 except in the colors entered will be fined 3sevs~. No entry will bo received on any pretenco whatever after the hour named or without being accompanied by the necessari/ amount of cash, j All persons intending to withdraw j horees are requested to give notice to that effect to the Secretary or the Clerk of the Scales one half -hour before starting. Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with this rale shall pay a fine not exceeding ssovs. to the Race Fund. All protests must be accompanied with a deposit ofssovs., which 'sum will be forfeited to the Eace Fund if the protest is not sustained. Owners of horses who are not Members of the Club pay 1 sov.qualifica.tion.
