CRICKET. Cambridge C.C. Y. Hautapu CC.

The match announced to come off between these two clubs was played in the Government paddock, Cambridge, on Saturday afternoon last. There were very few visitors present, though the play was all that could have been expected. Messrs Speed and Longbottom ran up a good score for Cambridge, Cotton and Clare doing the bowling. Pickering's play for Hautapu was very good, and so was Pearson's, both making a total of 29. Play commenced at about 1.30, and the Cambridge men, who went to the wickets first, scored as follows :—: —
