A Reuters telegram, dated London 22nd ultimo, to hand, reports : — The Drily News has a leading article upon the success of Mr Bryce and the colonial forces in the apprehension of Te Whiti and other agitator*, and the dispersion of the assembly of natives at Parihaka. The bloodlessness of the victory is noted with great satisfaction, and while the hope ii expressed that the probability of renewal of hostilities between the Maoris has been crushed by the decisive measures adopted by the New Zealand Government, it is again exhorted to deal as generously with Te Whiti and his fellow fanatics as the circumstances of the case will allow.
