Hercules is a bay horse, 8 years old, and stands loj hands high, combines the be&t of blood with good bone and immense power, und lm^ proved hun&elf a good horse on the turf. At the Canterbury meeting in 1876, won tho Grand Stand Handicap, 1 mile, in 1 mm. 50 sec, carrying Bet. 21bs., beating 6 others. In the same year won the Hawke's Bay Stake.", 2 miles, in 3min. 5-^sec., beating Fishhook and the Maori Weed, carrying Bst. 2lbs. Hercules will travel on and after Ist October, calling at the undermentioned places :—: — Mondays — Leave Goldburn, passing through Tamahere, Cambridge, and Pukerimu, to Ohaupo. Tuesdays — Te Awamutu, and Kihikihi. Wednesdays — Rotorangi, and Cambridge. Thursdays — at home, where he remains for the rest of the week. Terms— £3 10s each mare, Two or more aB per arrangement. The well-known Oydesdale Stallion, "YOUNG WELLINGTON."
Will Travel the following- places in the Waikato :—: — Monday — Pukerimu, travelling same evening as far as Mr Grice's Farm via Rotorangi. Tuesday—Rangiaohia, calling at Mr A. Ramsay's, Kihikihi (Mr Corboy's) that evening. Wednesday— Te Awamutu, calling at Mr Rutherford's farm. Thursday. — Ohaupo (forenoon only), Hamilton that evening. Friday.— Hamilton, stopping at Railway Hotel ; good grazing for mares at Mr Jolly's, at 2s per week. At Tamahere that afternoon, good grazing at 2s per week at Mr Jared All will's. Saturday. — Tamabere, and Cambridge at Carter's Stables. He was bred by Mr Patterson, Wanganui. His sire, Wellington, is acknowledged to be one of the fine«t horses imported to New Zealand. His dam was an imported mare from Hobart Town, and, when exhibited, received every firstclass prize as a Brood Mare. " Young Wellington " stands 17 hands in height ; his colour is a beautiful dark dappled brown ; he has a wonderful docile temper; has good action, and for symmetry he has not his equal in the country. " Young Wellington " has proved himself a sure foal-getter, and thoroughly staunch in harness. "Young Wellington's" stock, for size, symmetry, and,, action, cannot be surpassed. '•Young Wellington" can trot twenty miles in two hours, and has done it. TERMS:-
