CRICKET MATCH OHAUPO.
TO THE EDITOK. Sir, — Tour correspondent of to-day's issue, signing himself member H.C.C. , has brought before the cricketing public our match at Ohaupo. It just happens his inferences are incorrect. In the first place Mr Somerville did not " get together a scratch eight of youngsters." In the second the designation, Hamilton West was given solely out of courtesy to distinguish us from the great Hamilton Club proper, as anyone naturally would surmise. In conclusion I beg to say that a club called Hamilton West Cricket Club is in. existence, and at present its members numbering at least twenty, all reside in Hamilton West, and will probably continue to exist even though uncalled for remarks be published in the newspaper by members of the other club. — I am, &c., Member Hamilton West C.C. Hamilton, Nov. 19th, 1881.
