conveyed the beer from Hamilton to the hotel had left the casks out in the rain with the stamped heads upwards, and when he got to the hotel he found they had been washed off. —Mr T. Hill, Collector of Customs, and Constable Wild gave evidence as to the discovery of the casks, and the admission of the defendant as to their being unstamped,— Hia Worship thought that a breach of the Act had taken place, though he did not consider Mr Camp much to blame, inasmuch as he had been convinced as to the stamping of the casks, and would therefore impose the nominal fine of Is, without costs.
Civil Cases. Small and Coates v. Henderson, claim £4 10s 9d (judgment summons). Adjourned till next Court day. J. Coates v. Booth, claim £Q 11s. Ordered to pay £2 per month and costs (295). W. H.
