The General Election.

We understand that although there are four Richmonds already in the field for the Waipa constituency, a fifth is almost certain to throw down his gauntlet. Whispers reach us that a well-known and redoubtable champion of the "Liberal" cause has determined to enter the lists. For obvious reasons his name has not yet become public property, but well-informed people in town and throughout the constituency assure us that the rumour has foundation in fact.
