SERIOUS ACCIDENT AT CAMBRIDGE.
As a number of the oavalry were exercising in riding drill on Carter's Flat on Tuesday erenhjg }&/>&< a member oi the troop, named John McCann had the misfortune to have his leg broken through an accident in jumping one of the hurdles. Four troopers were to take the jump together, but five started, and in clearing the hurdle McCann's horae which was on the outside tripped and fell, throwing its rider. The horse coming immediately behind jumped on MoCann's leg breaking it between the knee and the thigh. Dr Cusbney was immediately sent for, and had the unfortunate patient conveyed to his home in a buggy were he dressed the leg. Dr. Waddington the family dootor set the leg, and is now in charge of the patient.
