SHIPPING DISASTER AT THE BLUFF. [BY TELEGRAPH.]
A Press Association wire from Invercargill last night reports : — "The barque England's Glory, from London, has just ' gone ashore at a part of the coast iinineately behind the Bluff hill. The ship stood too close in in her endeavour to take the pilot on board. The pilot was just going on board when the vessel struck. She lies on a small beach below the pilot station, with the sea breaking over her. All hands have arrived here from the wreck. - Our In vercargill correspondent reports : -The ship England's Glory, wrecked at the Bluff, nad 3200 packages of rail iron for Government on board for lixvereargill railway works, besides 250 packages of general merchandise. j
