Hercules is a bay horse, 8 years old, and stands 15J hands high, combines the beet of blood with good bone and immense power, and has proved himself a uood hoi fee on the turt. At the Canterbury meeting m 1876, the Grand Stand Handicap, I mile, in 1 mm. 50 sec, parrying Bst. 2lbs., beating C 0U101&. In the same year won the Hawke's Bay Strike-, 2 miles, in 3min. Sl^sec , beating Fishhook and the M.ion Weed, carrying Sbt. 2lbs. Ramsay's, Kihikihi (Mr Corboy's) that i evening. ' Wednesday— Te Awamutu, calling at j Mr Rutherford's farm. Thursday.— Ohaupo (forenoon only), Hamilton that evening. Friday. — Hamilton, stopping at Railway Hotel ; good grazing for mares at Mr Jolly's, at 2s per week. At Tamahere that afternoon, good grazing at 2s , pgr week at Mr Jared All will's. Saturday. — Tamahere, and Cambridge at Carter's Stables. He was bred by Mr Patterson, Wanganui. His sire, Wellington, is acknowledged to be one of the fine-t horses imported to New Zealand. His dam was an imported mare from Hobart Town, and, when exhibited, received every firstclass prize as a Brood Mare. " Young Wellington " stands 17 hands in height ; his colour is a beautiful dark dappled brown ; he has a wonderful docile temper; has good action, and for symmetry he has not his equal in the country. " Young Wellington " has proved himself I a sure foal-getter, and thoroughly staunch in harness. f " Young Wellington's" stock, for size, symmetry, and action, cannot be eurpassed.
