Cambridge, Last Night. Tun Cambridge Choral Union intend giving their first concert in the Public Hall in about thiee weeks. A good deal of vocal and instrumental talent has already been engaged.
Auckland, Last Night. Mr Tonks to-tlay sold the privileges for the forthcoming Agricultural Show. The sole right to dispense refreshments was knocked down to Adams for £99; the Good Templar booth to Adams for £20 ; fiuit stalls to Walker for £6 : stabling to Doran, £30 ; grand stand bar to Gillander, £17. A general r'i3e in the price of timber w ill probably take place to-morrow. The Union Sash and Door Company announced to the trade that their puce for first-class sawn will for the future be 153 per 100 feet ; secoiid-chss, 10s per 100 feet This ia an advance of 2s. A boy, four years old, son of Mr Lewis, accountant, was drowned at Mechanics' Bay. The barque iSfcracafchro arrived to-day from London.
Wellington, La&t Night. His Excellency the Governor leaves for Chnsfcchurch on Sunday for the purpose of attending the consecration of Christclmrch Cxthedral. The Bishops ot Wellington, Nelson, and Waiapu left for Lyttelton to-day to bo present at the consecration.
