Nominations for Handicaps and entrance for Maiden Plate to be sent to the Secretary Waikato Turf Club, Hamilton, on or before Friday, November 11th; weights to be declared on the loth. Acceptances received up to Friday, 2oth, at 7 p.m. Entrance money enclosed, with the name, age, and pedigree of horse and colors of rider. No entry will be received for any race only on conditions that all claims, disputes, and objections arising shall be decided by the Stewards or whom they may appoint, and their decisions upon all points shall be final. When two or more i horses start, the property of the same owner, a distinguishing color must bo worn. All races to be run under tho V.R.C. rules - Any jockey riding except in the colors entered will be fined 3sovs. No entiywill be received on any pretence whatever after the hour named, or without being accompanied by the necessary amount of cash. ' All persons intending to withdraw horses are requested to give notice to that effect to the Secretary or the Clerk of the Sciles one half hour before starting. Any pei sen neglecting or refusing to comply with this rule shall pay a fine not exceeding 5 soys. to the Race Fund. AH protests must be accompanied with a deposit of 5 dovs., which sum will be forfeited to tho Race Fund if the protest is not sustained. Owners of horses who are not members of the Club pay 1 soy. qualification. Hoises walking over will receive 50 per cent, of the stakes. ROBERT BRADLEY, Secretary.

To the Ratepayers Hamilton Highway DistrictHHAKE N OTICE.— The Hamilton HighI way District Board propose to stop the undermentioned Road, and, with consent of owner, take land for road in lieu thereof. Plans and accurate descriptions may be inspected by Ratepayers at the Office of the undersigned, for twelve consecutive weeks from the date hereof. Road to he Closed. A Road, containing 5 acres 3 roods 20 perches, more or less, bounded on the North by Lot 52, Parish of Te Rapa, and on the East by Lot 53, Parish of Te Rapa, the property of Mr Thomas Aitken. JOHN S.
