Wellington, Last Night. At the Supreme Court to-day, the case of Ohmie v. Corporation wa3 again brought up, a rule nisi being moved for to set aside the verdict of tho jury. Judgment was reserved.
Dtjnedin, Last Night. At the Police Court to-day, George Rowley was charged with bigamy. A remand was asked for to allow evidence being brought from South Australia, where the accused was first parried. The constable who arrested accused at Christchurch, deposed that he admitted being married to two women right enough, and added that if the warrant had not come he would have been off to Sydney to the second wife. In Court, accused said the first marriage was not legal. Remanded for one week, bail being allowed. A sum of £125 has been sent as a first instalment of the fund in aid of the Jews in Southern Russia. At Waiwera, Clutha district, a man, name unknown, committed suicide by hanging.
