Weights to be declared after Spring Handicap Race. Acceptance to be paid 15 minutes before time of starting. 6. Consolation Handicap, 15sovs., for beaten horses during the meeting. Distance, 1 mile. Nomination, 10s; acceptance, 10s. Horses to take their age from Ist August. Nominations for Handicaps and entrance for Maiden Plate to be sent to the Secretary Waikato Turf Club, Hamilton, on or before Friday, November 11th; weights to be declared on the 15tb. Acceptances received up to Friday, 25th, at 7 p.m. Entrance money enclosed, with the name, age, and pedigree of horse and colors of rider. No entry will be received for any race only on conditions that all claims, disputes, and objections arising shall be decided by the Stewards or whom they may appoint, and their decisions upon all points shall be final. When two or more horses start, the property of the same owner, a distinguishing color must be worn. All races to be run under the V.R.C. rules. Any jockey riding except in the colors entered will be fined 3sovs. No entry will be received on any pre-, tence whatever after the hour named, or without being accompanied by the necessary amount of cash. All persons intending to withdraw horses are requested to give notice to that effect to the Secretary or the Clerk of the Scales one half hour before starting. Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with this rule shall pay a fine not exceeding 5 boys. to the Race Fund. All protests must be accompanied with a deposit of 5 soys., which sum will be forfeited to the Race Fund if the protest is i not sustained. Owners of horses who are not members of the Club pay 1 soy. qualification. Horses walking over will receive 50 per cent, of the stakes. ROBERT BRADLEY, Secretary.

rpAKE NOTICE, the Tamahere HighX way District Board propose to stop the undermentioned roads, and with consent of owners take land for roads in lieu thereof. Plans and accurate descriptions m«y be inspected by ratepayers at the residence of the undersigned, for twelve consecutive weeks from the date hereof. Roads to be Closed. 1. A portion of a road containing 1 acre, 1 perch ; bounded njrthwcsterly by Lot 44, Parish of Tamahere, the property of J. A. Tinne, Esq., 2. Portions of the road_containing_in_ all 3 acres, 1 rood 18 perches ; bounded on the west by Lots 87 and 68 ; and on the east by Lot 68 Parish of Tamahere, the property of E. J. Tinne, Esq. 3. A road containing 7 acres, 3 roods 37 perches; running through Lot* 20, 21, 22, 23, Parish of Tamahere, the property of S. Ormerod, E«q. 4. A road containing in all 10 acres, 1 rood, 5 perches; running through Lots 22, 23, 25, 26, the property of Messrs. S. Ormerod H. Allright, and a Government reserve.
