Numerotw meetings are being held in Ireland, at which proposals have been made by various speakers thafc the tenants generally should refuse to pay any rent until Mr Parnell has been released. A special Gazette has been issued by the Irish Executive to-day, in which boycotting and coercion to join the League are proclaimed criminal acts. Several further arrests of prominent agitators have been made. Among those now in custody are Mr Arthur O Connor member of the House of Commons foa Queeu's County ; Mr J. O'Kelly member for RoßCommon ; Mr. T. Seaton, member for Sligo ; and Mr. Quinn. secretary of the Land League. A warranfc has been issued for the arrest of Mr. Healey, M.P for Wexford, and othei arrests arc known to be imminent. It has transpired that the warrant under which Parnell was arrested charged him with the intimidation of the people to prevent their utilising the Land Act or paying rents. Since Parnpll's arrest several meetings of the Land League have been held in Ireland, at which defiant speeches were made by prominent Lenguers. Considerable excitement has been caused throughout the country by the action of the Executive, and the feeling is extending.
