Heicules ia a bay horse, 8 years old, and stands 15-J- hands high, combines the best of blood with good bone and immense powei*, and has proved hnnbelf a good hoi&e on the turf. At the Caaterbury meeting in 1876, won the Grand Stand Handicap, 1 mile, in 1 mm. 50 sec, carrying Bst.- 2lbs., beating 6 others. In the same year won the Hawke's Bay Stake 1 -, 2 miles, in. 3min. 54^faec, beating Fishhook and the Maori Weed, carrying Bst. 21bs. Hercules will travel on and after let October, calling at the undermentioned places : — ' Mondays — Leave Goldburn, passing through Tamahere, Cambridge, and Pukerimu, to Ohaupo. Will Travel the following places in the Waikato :—: — Monday — Pukerimu, travelling same evening as far as Mr Grice's Firm via Rotoran^i. Tuesday — Rangiaohia, calling at Mp A. Ramsay's, Kihikihi (JVIr Corboy's) that evening. Wednesday — Te Awamutu, calling at Mr Rutherford's farm. Thursday. — Ohaupo (forenoon only), Hamilton that evening-. Friday. — Hamilton, stopping at Railway Hotel ; good grazing for mares at Mr Jolly's, at 2s per week. At Tamahere that afternoon, good grazing at 2s per week 'at Mr Jared All wall's. Saturday.— Tamab ere, and Cambridge at Carter's Stables. He was bred by Mr Patterson, Wanganui. His sire, Wellington, is acknowledged to be one of the finest horses imported to New Zealand. His dam was an imported mare from Hobart Town, and, when exhibited, received every firstclass prize as a Brood Mara. " Young Wellington " stands 17 hands in height ; his colour is a beautiful dark dappled brown ; lie has wonderful docile temper) kas good action, and for symmetry hehasnotlris equal in the country. " Young Wellington " has proved himself a sure foal-getter, and thoroughly staunch in harness. A " Young "Wellington's" stock, for size, symmetry, and action, cannot be surpassed.
