THE THREATENED NATIVE TROUBLE.
[bk telkgraph.— press association.] Opunakk, Tuesday. Seventy men have been enrolled here in the volunteer corps, and drill daily. The natives say they won't fight, but will hold the land to the last.
New Plymouth, Tuesday. The report telegraphed about the colony that the Native Minister was knocking about Rahotu on the very day that the attack was made by natives on Daniella is incorrect, as Mr Rolleston was in Wellington at the time the occurrence is Baid to have taken place.
