Geltlemex, — It is my intention to offer myself at the next
General Election as a Candidate
to represent your District in the General Assembly.
WM. JACKSON. Kihikihi, July 1, 1881.
rpo THE ELECTORS OF WAIPA.
Gentlemen, —In fairness to my numerous friends and supporters in tho Waipa Electorate I think it right to Inform you that I shall be a candidate for your suffrages at the coming general election. lam aware that it is unusual to announce such an intention at a date so early as the present, but I am driven into the position by the rumors that are being so industriously circulated throughout the district at the present time. As to the question of how far it is advisable thus to weaken the hands of a representative during the Hitting of the House, I shall have more to say presently. — I am, etc., F. A. WHITAKER. Wellington, July 11.
