There was a number ol buyers from Waikato, besides local. The cattle yarded were in low condition, and mostly coarse animals. Nearly 1 all yarded met with re.idy saio. We quote : Weaned calves, Li 10s to L 2 ss : yearlings, L 2 to L 2 15s; store cows, L 2 io!> to L 3 15s; co\ts and c.ihes, I 4 5s to L\ lot. each; two-year-old itccrs, L 3 r]s to L 4; three-year-old steers, L 5 to I's 5 15 ; sp nn R'ng cows .md heifers, L 4 15s to L 5 ios.— At tho Cambridge Yards ou Friday, Septombor 2ird, there was the usual number of fat cattle and sheep yarded. No stores offered. In consequence of alteration of sale day, on account of tho races, theio was but a small attendance. Noarly all bocf yarded sold to tho trade. AUCKLAND CATTLE MARKET. Mr Alprbd BucitiANb's Weekly Report. — At the Haymarkct on Friday (16th) fodder was in tuil supply, oaten hay bringing from 2s 6d to 3s 3d ; meadow, 2s gd to 4s 6d per cwt., and straw, 11s to 18s per load; eight tons potatoos, from 30s to L 2 2s 6d per ton. The horso market was unusually active, and all horses entered wero disposed of at higher pnefts than for months past. Medium draught, Ll2 io» to L 33 ; light harness horses, LlO 15s to Li 4 10s ; hacks, L8 51 to Ll4. The draught stallion Champion, \t»« passed in, not roaching tho reserve, L7O. At the flaymarket, on Tuesday last, hides wero in full number, but lighter weights than avotago.
