Messrs.. Mori & Co. report on September ird, as follows :—Wool:: — Wool : The new clip iscoming forward, but no considerable parcels will be offered at auction for a few weeks >et. The few parcels brought forward this week consisted for the most part of scoured skin and indifferent greasies, and the prices realised offered buUittle criterion of the condition of the market. Greasy brought up to Bid, and inferior scoured 12} to i6d. -Sheepskins arc in firm request, but values were somewhat easier this week. We sold a large number at up to 6jd for full-fleeced and station skins, and 4s lodto ss each for fresh skins. Leather: At Tuesday's sales there was .1 large attendance of buyers, but prices tor sole and names* exhibited a downward tendency. Other descriptions were without alteration. Quotations : — Sole 8d to tod, harness nd to 14'J, kip 13d to I7d, tweed >8d to 2sd, calf 2od to 26dper 15; bag qs to 12s per side ; basils 6s to its per dozen. Tallow :_ At our sale this week a further advance was noticeable for shipping parcels, and trade lots Here firm at late rates. Quotations : — Beef L2B to L2B 7s 6d; mutton L 29 to to L3O; and mixed L2O to L 26 per ton. Hides : Thcic is good demand for export as well as for local use, and the prices obtained were fully equal to last week's rates. Quotations :— Heavies, 4d to 4sd, medium aid to 4d, light and dry 4*d to <;{d per lb. Horse Hides are in short supply, and large sizes' uta worth from 6s to 7s 6d each, small to medium 3s ' to ss. Kangaroo Skins : The market exhibits a donnwara tendency and small sixes arc almost unsaleable ; medium to large am worth from 10s to 20s Der dozen. Horns: Large sires are worth from aos to 3Qs, and small to medium, 10s to 183 per joo. Shankbones are worth from LO to Lio pt-r ton. Hair: Horsetail is saleable at from rid to j6d, mane 8d to lod, and mixed iid to 13d pur lb. Grai.v.~ At our sale this week there \va.s a large attendance of the trade, and advanced rates were obtained. Nest lines of wheat realised f!omss7id to e,s 11 d per bushel. The heavy arrival of oats trom New Zealand has fcauscd prices to recede, and best samples may now' be quoted at from 2s 6d to 2s od per bushel, l-'lour : The market has further advanced, and holders are unwilling to quote for large parcels. Trade lots are selling at Liz 5s to Lt^, and up to Ll3 io« i* obtainable for favorite N.S. Wales brands ; Li 2 los to Ll3 10s is asked for South Australian, and Victorian is nominal.
