Terrible Massacre by Indians. New York, September 3.

Intelligence has been received from New Mexico of a terrible massacre by Indiana in that territory. A party of United States soldiers, under General Carr, were attacked in great force by Indians, who completely overwhelmed their victims and massacred the whole detachment. The total number killed was 118, including General Carr, aud 117 officers and men.
