Ayoub Khan's Advance. Calcutta, August 22.
Intelligence is to hand from Kandahar, announcing that Ayoub Khan has issued a proclamation to the people, declaring himself Ameer of Afghanistan. His advance on Abdurrahman is reported to be still further delayed, owing to want of money with which to pay his troops and provide necessary supplies.
