Accident at a Bull Fight. London, August 15.
A terrible accident occured at a bull fight at Marseilles. During the progress of fche spectacle, when the amphitheatre was crowded with people, a portion of the building gave way with a loud crash, and a number of people were seriously hurt. A panic seized the spectators and many were severely injured in the rush to ebcape. The utmost consternation pievailed. Finally when an investigation oould be madf it was ascertained that 14 persons had been killed and 150 injured. The Rowing Championship. Hanlan, the rowing champion, has accepted a challenge again to row a sculling match againbt Ross, which has been fixed to take place /it Canada, in October.
The Reserve Squadron. Thr? Reserve Squadron, commanded by the Duke of Edinburgh, visited Cronstaclt and spent several days iv the Baltic. They were received very cordially by the Russian authorities and the public. An English squadron has not visited the Baltic since Sir Charles Napier's expedition m 1854. The Duke of Edinburgh's 'squadron is now at? Kiep, where the reception was equally friendly:

Plague at St Petersburg. The plague whfch appeared at St Petersburgh has been very fatal. Cattle and horses have also been attacked. Huiran subjects suffer from a terrible (disease presenting plague symptoms, which have also also appeared amongst the Russian peasantry.
