New Bills. In the Council to-day the Hon. Mr Whitaker introduced the Supreme Court Procedure and Practice Amendment Bill, which was read a first time. The Hon. Mr Scotland ihoved the second reading of the Law Praotitionera Bill. The Hon. Mr Whitaker opposed it, and moved the rejection of the Bill. The Hon. Mr Wilson supported the Bill if limited to admission of barrister.-). The Hon. Messrs Reynolds and Waterhouse supported the Bill, and Col. Frazer and Dr Grace opposed it. The debate was interrupted by adjournment.
