Watson held a sale of city properties on Saturday, realising £13,91)7. C'ornei sections sold at the late of £1900 «md £2000 per acre.
[UNITED PRKSS ASSOCIATION".] The "Liberty Assault Case. CiiKi.vrcHUKC'ii, Last Night. G. Chatterv Miles, ot Timaru, was brought up to-day on a charge of assaulting Mi Mosely and Mi -T. Wells, the editor and part proprietor of Liberty. The case arose out of an assault on the race day, the oth inst. The Court was crowded, and the case evoked considerable merriment. At the conclusion the defendant was fined Is. The verdict was greeted with cheers.
