The Rating Bill. Gisborne, Last Night.
At a meeting of the Cook County Council on Friday last, the following resolution was carried unanimously :—: — "That a letter be written to Mr McDonald expressing surprise and regret at his voting against the Crown and Native Lands Rating Bill, after his letter of 10th July, as such bill affects the interests of the county materially.
