Oaths and Affirmations. The Hon. Mr Wilson moved " That in the opinion of this Council the laws relating to the taking of oaths and affirmationsshould be consolidated and amended."

Bills Advanced. The Adoption of Children Bill, The Vagrant Act 1860 Amendment Bill, and the Drainage Bill were passed through committee. The Deceased Cattle Bill was read a third time ami passed. The Education Act 1877 Amendment Bill (Dr. Menzies) was read a first time, as wa3 the Imprest Supply Bill (No. 2) from the Lower House.
