DRAINAGE OF TE AEOHA BLOCK. Piako County. Public Workß Office, Auckland, 13th July, 1881. SEPARATE WRITTEN TENDERS will be received at this office until noon of Wednesday, 3rd of August, 1881, for No. 3 and 4 Contracts for Drainage of the Te Aroha Block. Plans and specifications can be seen at this office ; at the Warden's office, Thames ; at the Postoffice Hamilton ; and at Messin's Hotel, Waihou Township, Te Aroha. Tenders must be addressed to the Hon. the Minister for Public Works, Auckland, and marked outside "Tender for No. 3 Drainage Contract," and "Tender for No. 4 I 'rainage Contract" respectively. HHAKE NOTICE— That at a Special X Meeting of the Piako County Council, held at Cambridge on the 6th April, 1881, the following reselution was passed : — " That the outlying district comprising that portion of the Waitoa Riding, on the eastern side of the Waihou River, and bounded on the south by the Wairiri stream, be constituted a Riding to be called the Aroha Riding, and to return one member to the Piako County Conncil." WAITOA HIGHWAY DISTRICT. IT IS HEREBY NOTIFIED that the Waitoa Highway District Board, intend to meet in the Nottingham Castle Hotel, Piako,on the6thday of AugustlBBl, at 11.30. a.m. for the purpose of making a rate of ninepence in the pound for the period commencing on the Ist day of April 1881, aDd ending on the 31st day of March 1882, to become due and payable in one sum on the Ist day of September 1881. The rate-book is open for inspection at the residence of Alexander Bremner who is appointed collector to tho Board ; and the said rate is to be paid to him at his residence on thj said Ist day of September 1881. The Tuhikaramea Highway District Board intend meeting at the school on Monday, August Bth, at 7 o'clock, p.m., for the purpose of making a rate of Is in the £ on the value to let of all the Rateable Property in the 1 said district, for the year ending, 31st March, 1882.
